Dense spice, strong spicy oak, crushed cloves, cinnamon stick, nutmeg, vanilla beans, red bean pancake, sweet paprika, red velvet cupcakes, Dutch cocoa, chocolate-covered strawberries, brown-sugar funk, slightly tart. Dark and brooding with sherry-soaked raisins, spiced wine, charcuterie, crème brûlée, sharp peppercorns, antique musk, and Dutch licorice.
Palate
Medium-thick texture, bright and sweet-tart blood orange, deep Dutch cocoa, strong oak, bittersweet citrus, Jaffa Cakes, cigar box, s'mores with charred marshmallows, orange and grapefruit peels. Thick, syrupy, hot, toasted almonds, hazelnuts, tannic pucker, dark cherries, molasses, espresso, burnt heather, old Cognac, spicy, vibrant cinnamon, ginger, and chili heat.
Finish
Fragrant oak spice, woodshop, sweet hardwoods, cherry, dates, birch beer, chocolate lava cake, aged balsamic. Immense and drying, firm oak grip, bitter chocolate, balsamic reduction, pencil shavings, spicy fruitcake richness.
