Nose
Treacle, ginger, toffee apples, rich fruits, and layers of vanilla opening into tropical fruits and subtle green wood. Also notes of dark chocolate, creamy caramel, fresh raisins, figs, dried apple and pear, brown sugar, nutty, earthy, and a distinctive spice.
Palate
Warm with spice, cracked black pepper, and cloves, joining with hints of chocolate, brown sugar, oak, and nuts. Finally, liquorice and brandy snaps come through. Also candied fruit, orange peel, cinnamon, and sweet sherry notes with a rich, syrupy texture.
Finish
Full, slow, warm, and wonderfully viscous. Medium long with oaky spice, clean, and a lingering simple candied fruitiness, brown sugar, nutmeg, and chocolate.
