Complex, layered, with notes of sherry, vanilla, dried fruits, mulled wine, cloves, juniper berries, spearmint, coffee toffee, dark chocolate, soy sauce, balsamico, barbecued beef, cigar box, thuja wood, very ripe blackberries, dusty sherry, clean leather, almond, dark overripe fruit, freshly cracked hazelnut, and orange.
Palate
Rich, full-bodied, with a velvety smoothness. Flavors of dark chocolate, raisins, honey, subtle spiciness, rum-soaked raisins, figs, old rancio, orange and herbs liqueur, cloves, pepper, mescal, balanced sherry sweetness, wood, leather, almond, and hazelnut.
Finish
Long, warming, with a gentle sweetness that lingers. Coating, rich but clean and pure, with a faint saltiness and an aftertaste of blackberry jelly, spiced oak, deep sherry, caramel, and maraschino cherry.
