Description

The Macallan Rare Cask Black Limited Edition is a unique and distinctive single malt Scotch whisky, part of The Macallan's 1824 Master's series. It was released in 2018 to celebrate the opening of the new Macallan Distillery and was primarily a travel retail exclusive. This limited edition, with an outturn of 7,000 bottles, features a subtle smoky character, which is rare for Macallan. It is matured in a marriage of predominantly first-fill European and American oak sherry-seasoned casks, with its peated character derived from exceptionally rare, aged stocks of peated distillation. The commemorative pack includes a pewter flask featuring an etched illustration of The Macallan's new distillery.
