- Nose
- Bright citrus peel and dried apricots, with a blend of fresh red berries, cinnamon, and sage. A subtle oakiness marks its age. Aromas of dried fruits, old oak, orange zest, honeyed malt, and refined sherry richness. Austere and dry, rather on dark chocolate and leather, with touches of bitter oranges, ginger tonic and a little wet cardboard.
- Palate
- Rich caramel and toasted malt flavors enhanced by dark chocolate, roasted nuts, and a hint of vanilla, all wrapped in a creamy texture. Profound and elegant, showing raisin, fig, dark honey, orange peel, polished oak, and gentle spice. Luscious caramel and honeyed nuts to hints of dark chocolate and warm spices, underscored by sherry cask influence. Classic youngish sherry monster with a slight roughness, bitter oranges, black raisins, and gingery notes.
- Finish
- Long and warming with notes of spiced apple and soft peat smoke, leaving a memorable, lingering savor. Exceptionally long, silky, and regal with lingering dried fruit, spice, and antique oak. Rather long, with some green spices from the oak on top of the bitter oranges and a grassy aftertaste.
