Description

This Macallan 1989 30 Year Old, bottled by The Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) as cask 24.143, is part of The Vaults Collection and named 'Substance over style'. Distilled on 11th October 1989 and aged for 30 years in a refill ex-Bourbon barrel, it is one of only 169 bottles. It is described as a bare-boned, vivid, tautly structured, and hauntingly complex, un-sherried example of this legendary make.
