Description
Our Master Whiskymaker Graeme Macaloney studied traditional grain mashing, mashing in situ etc. The nose is superbly with pine wood smoke, light peat smoke and tropical fruit, sour scratchings, rosemary, cedar, sandalwood, and baking spices. The palate is a whopping to rose petals, dates, lemon zest and butterscotch with hints of sea salt, and red grapes. There are also summer meadow flowers, fresh cut grass, malt extract and burnt heather. The palate has a velvety mouthfeel with sweet malty peat smoke, barley wine, espresso, dark chocolate, cherry, red apple, cinnamon, cardamom, fennel seed, lemon sponge cake, dried hay, with lingering oak, a light sweet smoke finish, and a hint of salt with ocean breeze.
