This 17-year-old single malt from MacDuff distillery, independently bottled by The Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) as Cask 6.72 'Fruitful Mellifluosity', was distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2023. It was initially matured in bourbon hogsheads for 13 years before being transferred for a finish in first-fill Spanish oak Oloroso and American oak PX hogsheads. Bottled at cask strength, it is non-chill filtered and uncolored, typical of SMWS releases. MacDuff distillery, located in the Highlands of Scotland, is known for producing a nutty, fruity spirit.
