Description
MacKinlay's Shackleton Blended Malt Scotch Whisky is a recreation of the whisky supplied to Sir Ernest Shackleton's 1907 British Antarctic Expedition. The original whisky was discovered in 2007 in Antarctica, leading to its analysis and subsequent recreation by Master Blender Richard Paterson. This general release, bottled at 40% ABV, aims to capture the essence of the original 'Rare Old Highland Malt Whisky'. It is a blend of Highland single malts, with some sources mentioning Speyside and Island malts as well.
