Description

This single malt was distilled at Mackmyra Distillery in Sweden as part of the Moments series. This expression consists of a mix of peated and unpeated malt aged in a range of casks - the peated spirit was aged exclusively in ex-bourbon barrels and some of the unpeated spirit was matured in casks seasoned with German cherry wine to create a sweet and smoky malt. One of 1500 bottles at 43% ABV. Mackmyra Moment Skogshallon is a wonderfully summery whisky with soft flavors of red berries, vanilla, sour caramels, tobacco leaves and roasted oak barrels. It was partially matured in ex-bourbon barrels saturated with 'wine' from Swedish wild raspberries and also in new American oak barrels.
