Description

One of the world's most modern distilleries, opened in 1999, Mackmyra utilises Swedish Oak, barley and natural spring water to produce whisky without additives and with a distinct Swedish character. The team behind the distillery approached its creation by questioning why Sweden - with its pure water sources and fresh local crops - had no previous whisky-producing culture. Today, they follow the s ... This 'Svensk Rök / Amerikansk Ek' is a limited edition, peated single malt whisky, crafted with Swedish peat-smoked malt and matured exclusively in new casks of American oak. The smoking process uses juniper smoke, a traditional Swedish method for seasoning food.
