Description

Maker's Mark 46 is the first major line extension from the distillery since 1958. It is created by taking fully matured Maker's Mark at cask strength and finishing it for an additional nine to ten weeks in a limestone cellar with 10 seared virgin French oak staves (Stave Profile No. 46) inserted into the barrel. This process, developed by Bill Samuels Jr. in collaboration with the Independent Stave Company, amplifies the bourbon's natural notes of vanilla, caramel, and spice while maintaining a smooth, non-bitter finish.
