Nose
A nice profile with classic elements like sweet raisins and chocolate. Darker notes in the background (roasted chestnut, tobacco and coffee) but also brighter notes (tart orange peel, floral honey). Some black peppercorns. Good balance. Also dark berries, sweet grapes, burnt raisins and lemon sorbet with icing sugar.
Palate
More peppery notes up front, combined with liquorice and nutmeg. Dark chocolate and leather. Some herbal notes. There's some blackberry jam underneath to round off the edges. Also a delish interplay of strawberries, blueberries and cherries as well as fluffy muffins with caramel chunks. Plus a soft touch of oak.
Finish
Quite long, slightly drier now, with herbal tea and cocoa.
