Description

One of only 1000 bottles blended from whisky guru Michael's private collection containing whiskies from many countries and adjusted for balance. This blend was organized and put together by Whisky Magazine and Berry Brothers & Rudd from open bottles in Michael's private collection. A proportion of the profits raised with this bottling was donated to The Parkinson's Disease Society, an illness Michael suffered from, for more than a decade.

Nose
An inviting aroma of honey, caramel, and soft vanilla, complemented by hints of stewed apples, cinnamon, and a subtle floral freshness. Funky Sherry, dark and brooding, with sweet tea, wax, cask toast, and burnt caramel. Hints of smoke and rubber tires, with a waxy, meaty, and flowery character.
Palate
Full-bodied and rounded, with notes of creamy toffee, ripe peach, and candied orange. A balance between sweetness and spiciness, with accents of nutmeg and a gentle oak influence. Spicy and woody, licorice, and sweet, with fruity notes and hints of paper and cardboard. Extremely rich and very balanced in flavour.
Finish
Long and refined, with lingering notes of honey, a touch of citrus, and a gentle spicy warmth. Medium, beer-like, and a bit bitter, yet nice and drinkable. Long, malty, and mildly sherried, with a cool, slightly minty breeze at the very end. Rich and smooth.
