Michter's Barrel Strength Rye 2024 #L24B1002 is a single barrel release of peppery, spicy Kentucky straight rye whiskey from Michter's. The whiskey aged for at least 36 months in a fire-charred new American white oak barrel, and was bottled in 2024 at a barrel strength of 113.4 proof, or 56.7% ABV. Butterscotch and cinnamon are joined by a hint of cherries on the nose. The rye whiskey is warming and rich, with toasty vanilla and caramel up front, and dry oaky spice on the finish.
