Description

Michter's US-1 Barrel Strength Rye is a single barrel, limited release Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey, bottled at its particular alcohol level at the time of bottling. It is produced in small batches according to Michter's pre-Revolutionary War quality standards dating back to 1753. Master Distiller Dan McKee and Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson oversee its production, which involves barreling the distillate at a lower entry proof of 103 in fire-charred, new American white oak barrels to yield a richer and more complex whiskey. This 2024 release is described as a smooth, beautifully balanced, and bold journey of flavor through sweet, savory, and spice characters.
