Description

This is a barrel-proof Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey, made using an undisclosed mashbill, with the rye being sourced from a mystery distillery. As a single-barrel, barrel-proof limited release, this is something of a rarity. Michter's uses fire-charred, new American white oak barrels and enters the distillate into the barrel at a lower proof (103 proof) than industry standard, aiming for a richer, smoother, more full-bodied whiskey. Smooth, powerful, and brimming with character.
