Description

Midleton Very Rare Dair Ghaelach Kylebeg Wood is the fourth chapter in the Dair Ghaelach (Irish Oak) series, a limited edition Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey. It is finished in virgin Irish oak hogsheads sourced from Kylebeg Wood on the Ballykilcavan Estate in County Laois, Ireland. The whiskey is a blend of 15 to 28-year-old whiskeys initially matured in American oak barrels, then finished for two years in the Irish oak casks. This release is bottled at cask strength and is non-chill filtered, with each bottle traceable to a specific tree.

Nose
Fragrant woodland spices with notes of cinnamon and nutmeg, aromatic oils, earthy pot still notes, delicate hints of nectarine, zesty fruit, white pepper, dairy fudge, and vanilla.
Palate
Fortified by Irish Oak, pot still spices with heightened intensity, rich wood tannins, velvety caramel, sweet stewed apple, orange peel, dark chocolate, honeycomb, and vanilla.
Finish
Delightfully long, with fruits and spices slowly fading, allowing the Irish Oak to linger.
