Description

The Midleton Very Rare 2014 Edition is an annual limited release, notable as the first to be overseen by Master Distiller Brian Nation. This Irish Blended Whiskey is a blend of single pot still and grain whiskeys, aged between 15 and 22 years in first and second-fill ex-Bourbon casks. Each bottle is individually numbered and presented in a wooden box.

Full, with sweet spices (vanilla, cinnamon, liquorice), flinty barley, ripe fruit, charred oak, sponge cake, lemon rind, copper coins, nutmeg, white pepper, honey, and toffee.
Finish
Sweet spicy flavours, lingering, fading slowly to barley, fresh fruit, tingling ginger and clove, lemon juice tartness, barrel char bitterness, sweet cream, vanilla, oak, and sweet rolling tobacco.
