Description
Monkey Shoulder is a blended malt Scotch whisky produced by William Grant & Sons, crafted from three Speyside single malts (originally Glenfiddich, Balvenie, and Kininvie). It was introduced in 2003/2005 as a versatile, bartender-friendly whisky, known for its smooth, rich character and balanced flavor profile. The name refers to a repetitive strain injury once suffered by maltmen turning barley by hand. It is matured in first-fill ex-Bourbon casks and blended in small batches.
