Description

Originally based in Aberdeen before being bought by the Campbeltown based Mitchell family in 1969, Wm Cadenhead's is the oldest independent bottler in Scotland. Now their flagship Campbeltown premises - located next to the Springbank distillery - also features their own shop offering a variety of bottled spirits from different distilleries. With their own warehouse stocked full of exciting whiskies.

Nose
White fruits, some lychees and pears. Then banana and pineapple followed by some very ripe melons. After a while, add some fennel seeds in the mix.
Palate
Something zesty mixed with the white fruits again. Very gently sweet. Melons. Fruitiness all over but not too fruity. Then you get a little bit of bitterness from a lemon peel or the peel of an unripe citrus fruit.
Finish
The finish is mid-long to long. There is some pastry and cookie dough in there, which gives the finish a nice sweet aftertaste.
