Description

Mortlach, established in 1823, is known as 'The Beast of Dufftown' for its rich, flavorful spirit, pioneered by Dr. Alexander Cowie's unique 2.81-distillation technique. This 12 Year Old 'The Wee Witchie' expression, named after the distillery's smallest still, was launched in 2018 as part of a new core range. It is matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, resulting in a well-balanced spirit with a distinctive meaty character alongside notes of dried fruit and toffee.
