Description
The name given to single malt whisky distilled at Miltonduff distillery using Lomond stills. It was one of several experiments of this kind conducted by Hiram Walker & Sons in the 20th century, and the stills at Miltonduff were active between 1964 and 1981. This very rare 17-year-old Mosstowie was bottled exclusively for Italian importer Sestante in the 1980s. Sestante was founded in 1979 by Ernesto Mainardi and acted as an agent for Gordon & MacPhail products before distributing its own special bottlings.
