Description

Myken Arctic Single Malt Whisky Autumn Gale is a Norwegian single malt whisky from Myken Destilleri, located on a remote island in the Arctic Circle. Established in 2014, the distillery uses desalinated seawater and distills over a live flame in copper pot stills. This 3-year-old expression is lightly peated and matured in a combination of ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks, resulting in a whisky shaped by the sea salt and wild weather of its origin. It was created by the women of Myken during an autumn storm in 2020 as a limited release. [2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 17]

Full-bodied with pepper, caramel, soot, dried fruits, tropical fruit, rich maltiness, salt/sea water, faint ash, sugar, apples, assorted fruits, sweeter and spicier edge, coastal style.
Finish
Medium to short, focusing on caramel and dried fruits, soft green note, slightly rough peppery kick, chocolate, hint of sulphur.
