Description

Myken is a remote island distillery off the coast of Norway in the Arctic Circle. The Ocean Heart is an unpeated single malt whisky made from malted barley, some of it sourced from Norway. It is matured primarily in ex-bourbon barrels, with some editions having a finish in ex-sherry and other ex-bourbon casks. It is non-chill filtered.

Nose
Soft and delicate ex-bourbon matured aroma, vanilla, tropical fruits, emerging almonds, creamy vanilla, rowan berries, and a hint of fresh paint over time.
Palate
Medium body, light and fruity.
Finish
Medium-long, fresh and vibrant. Light, playful fruitiness continues, transitioning to a darker edge of raspberry jam and oaky chocolate, ending with notes of white pepper and mild oakiness.
