Description
Nc'nean Distillery, Drimnin, By Lochaline, PA80 5XZ, Großbritannien. This release, Malted Teacake, is a distillation experiment which takes inspiration from Scotland's past. Malted Teacake flavours come from the use of a rare grain typically used in the making of Belgian ale. Matured in Nc'nean's house style casks, the result is a buttery, jammy whisky with hints of minerality. The Huntress Series is all about endless discovery, innovation and the ongoing pursuit of unique flavours in whisky. It is the fifth release in the series and explores how fermentation and different yeast strains can shape the flavour of their organic spirit. The whisky is made with two of Nc'nean's house yeast strains, plus a third strain commonly used in Belgian Trappist style ales. Nc'nean is certified organic, powered by 100% renewable energy, recycles 99.97% of its waste and is certified B-Corp. Their whisky is also bottled in 100% recycled glass and is vegan friendly.
