Description

This is Nikka Miyagikyo 12 Years old single malt - previously called Sendai - is aged in sherry casks and increases in body and complexity. The Miyagikyo distillery is located in Honshu, a place selected by Nikka's founder, Masataka Taketsuru 'because it is completely enclosed by mountains and at the junction of two clean rivers...clear water, suitable humidity and crisp air produce a soft and mild malt'. This bottling was discontinued in 2015 due to the lack of aged stocks at Nikka, these bottlings have been replaced by non age stated releases.
