Description

Nikka From The Barrel is a distinguished Japanese blended whisky, created by Nikka Whisky Distilling Company. It combines malt whiskies from Nikka's Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries with Coffey grain whiskies. The blend is then 'married' in various casks for several months to stabilize and harmonize the flavors, and bottled at 51.4% ABV. It was first launched in October 1985 and is known for its rich, full-bodied character and iconic square bottle.

Palate
Full-bodied and thick with sweet caramel, winter spice, toffee, and vanilla. Develops into oak spices, ginger, dried fruits (pear, apricot, peach, prune), and floral notes like honeysuckle, with a mild astringency and a touch of smoke.
Finish
Long, smooth, and warming with fruit and a little oaken spice. Woody and bitter aftertaste, with floral notes, smoke, and hints of sandalwood, prune, and peach on an oak-infused vanilla background.
