Nikka Single Coffey Grain Woody & Mellow 12 Year Old, American Oak Cask, 55%

A Japanese whisky distillery owned by the Nikka Whisky Distilling Co and the second built by Masataka Taketsuru. It primarily produces lightly- and non-peated malts and as of 1999 has also distilled malt and grain whiskies on the old Nishinomia Coffey stills. This is a signature grain whisky predominantly made from corn, matured in old casks such as re-filled, remade and re-charred casks originally made from American oak to deliver sweet and mellow flavors.
