Description
The Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt 17 Year Old is a refined expression from Nikka Whisky, named after its founder Masataka Taketsuru, the "father of Japanese whisky". This pure malt whisky is a masterful blend of different single malts distilled at Nikka's Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries. Aged for a minimum of 17 years in a combination of American oak, sherry, and Japanese Mizunara oak casks, it offers a harmonious balance of rich, complex flavors and a smooth, inviting character. It was a core part of the Taketsuru lineup for a long while before being discontinued in 2020 due to stock shortages.
