Nose
Very rich and thick with notes of sultanas and grape must. A hint of rancio perhaps, with a little almond oil, rum spice, cedar, potpourri and rhubarb and custard sweets. Autumn fruits, oak, coffee, cedar and tobacco.
Palate
Not quite as intense as the nose would have one believe, instead this stuff is quietly complex and very classy indeed. Notes of dried fruits, something akin of umami, nutmeg and various exotic spices. Ripe fruit, mocha, cough drops and candy floss.
Finish
Oak and clove-studded oranges. Sublime. Soft warming spices which are still very apparent. All too fast!
