Description
Distilled at the North British distillery in 1995, then matured for 29 years in a Sherry Butt (No.47390) before being bottled by Finn Thomson in 2025. The cask yielded 528 bottles at 58.3% ABV. This was bottled as part of the Private Cask Collection, exclusively for Royal Mile Whiskies - The Whisky Trade Show 2025. This particular cask was selected by Finn Thomson after a master blender discovered a selection of heavily sherried North British casks that were 'too good' to be lost in a blend, as they would have altered the consistency of their house blend which required an ex-bourbon cask profile. The slow maturation over the decades has created a whisky bursting with milk chocolate, caramel and dried fruits.
