Description
A former malt distillery and one of several defunct names within the Diageo portfolio. It was originally opened as Brechin in 1820 before being renamed later that century. It was shut down by Distillers Company in 1983 and only ever officially bottled a handful of times. The First Cask label was a brand of independent bottlings of single malt and single grain Scotch whisky. It was owned and distributed by Direct Wines. North Port was closed in the early 1980s and demolished in 1994 to make way for a supermarket.
