North Star Spirits, an independent whisky bottling company established in Glasgow in 2016 by Iain Croucher, focuses on curating exceptional Scotch whiskies. This particular expression, named 'Spica' after the brightest star in the constellation of Virgo, is a blend of malt and grain whiskies sourced from unspecified distilleries across Scotland. Distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2018, it underwent maturation for at least 20 years in a combination of European and American oak barrels. This limited edition release of 1,000 bottles was bottled free from chill filtration at a natural cask strength of 45.2% abv.
