Description

Oban Distillers Edition 2012 is a limited-edition single malt from the Oban distillery, located right on the border between the West Highlands and the Hebrides. The distillery's single malt has a gentle sweetness and surprising richness of palate and finish. The peatiness of the Islands it faces across the Firth of Lorne is softened by the influences of the Highlands at its back. Oban Distillers Edition 2012 is part of Diageo's popular annual Distillers Edition series. The whisky has been hand-selected for double maturation in Montilla Fino casks, the dry and delicate sherry beautifully enhancing Oban's distinctively graceful style.

Oban’s coastal salt and light smoke sit alongside grapey sweetness, giving this 15-year-old single malt a clear sweet-and-savoury balance. The peppery, drying finish adds a firmer edge to that otherwise smooth character.
