Palate
On the palate, it offers flavors of corn, sugar, ginger, and grapefruit, with a sweet caramel and vanilla spiciness from the wheat and oak. [2, 5, 13] It can be full-bodied and semisweet, with notes of pipe smoke, sweetened coconut, and breakfast cereal. [6, 8] Some reviewers note a tobaccoey, earthy profile. [14]
Finish
The finish is described as long, gently sweet, corny, and savory, with lingering caramel, allspice, ginger, and a hint of fake cherry. [2, 6, 8, 13] Some find a cloying quality with increasing sweetness and spiciness. [5]
