Description
This Old Fitzgerald 8 Year '1849' Bourbon was produced at the historic Stitzel-Weller distillery, known for its wheated mashbill. The '1849' in the name pays homage to the founding year of W.L. Weller & Sons. This particular bottling, presented in a 4/5 Quart bottle, was likely bottled in the 1970s, possibly around 1973, during the era when Julian Van Winkle II was at the helm of Stitzel-Weller. This expression was later discontinued.
