Description
A bottle of Very Old Fitzgerald 8 Years Old, distilled in spring 1959 at Stitzel-Weller distillery and bottled in bond in spring 1967. This bourbon was specially bottled for the Connoisseurs of Fine Bourbon. Old bottles of Old Fitzgerald are particularly valuable due to their association with the Stitzel-Weller Distillery, which was run by Julian 'Pappy' Van Winkle after Prohibition. Very Old Fitzgerald was 'Bottled in Bond', meaning it was issued at 100 proof under US government supervision, though export versions could be lower proof. This specific release is 90 Proof.
