This is a legendary Stitzel-Weller release of Very Very Old Fitzgerald 12 Year Old Bourbon, distilled in 1957 and bottled in 1970. Produced during the era of Julian 'Pappy' Van Winkle, this wheated bourbon was considered a premium offering and a highly sought-after collector's item.

Deep brooding bourbon, butterscotch/vanilla, honey, chocolate, nutty wood, sweet ripe apple, caramel, pecan, oak, baking spices, thin, sweet, oaky, baking sweets and dough, sweet fruity element, dark cocoa powder, sweetish cinnamon, maple syrup.
Finish
Oak, balanced, sweet then dries out with oak, hint of pepper spice, brandy-like fruit and oak, medium, mildly astringent, sweet fruity aftertaste, lingering spice and oak, round and sweet mouth-coating memories of buttery toffee, dry heat, mild burn.
