Description

A hand-crafted, double-distilled single malt whisky from Old Kempton Distillery in Tasmania, Australia. This Solera Cask whisky is made using a unique fractional blending system in a 500L Portuguese Port Puncheon, where half the contents are decanted and bottled, and the barrel is refilled. This process creates a complex and evolving whisky.

A beautiful rich, complex, and well-balanced aroma with dried fruits, cherries, toffee, malt, vanilla, and gentle oak, alongside notes of juicy fig, ripe plums, glace cherries, stewed fruit, nutmeg, pears, and vanilla custard.
Palate
Rich and complex with an amazing mouth-filling flavor, like biting into an alcohol cream-centered milk chocolate. It offers sweet gooey notes, halfway between sticky date pudding and thick gingerbread, with decadent, winter-themed flavors of shortbread, dark fruit nut chocolate, spice, and mountains of molten caramel.
Finish
Warm, generous, and long with dark fruit and nut chocolate, spice, and toasted oak, finishing sweet and fat, like a ganache.
