Description

A northern Highland malt distillery that famously produces the Old Pulteney brand of single malt. Located in Wick, it was built in 1826 and despite being shut down Prohibition in the town in 1930, it operates today as part of the Inver House Distillers group. This Old Pulteney Clipper Round the World Commemorative Bottle was released in July 2014 to celebrate Old Pulteney's maritime heritage and its sponsorship of the 2013-14 Clipper Round the World Yacht Race.

Sweetness of dried fruits and crisp green apples, accompanied by notes of fresh vanilla and white chocolate, with a maritime style.
Palate
Waves of honey and orange zest, a rounded oaky structure, salt and brine, lemon zest, rustic oak, and an unmistakable coastal note.
Finish
Long and smooth, with a tart character, receding like a low tide with briny minerals, gently fruity, with mixed nuts and salted caramel.
