Description

Based in the ex-Portuguese colony of Goa, India, Paul John whiskies are produced under the watchful eye of their namesake and founder Paul P John. As is the case in other tropical distilleries, their whisky (which is aged almost exclusively in American oak barrels) matures at a comparably rapid rate, and the distillery continues to grow in esteem and popularity. This Single Cask release, Cask Number 252, was matured initially for three years in an ex-bourbon barrel, before being transferred to an Oloroso cask for a four-year finishing period, resulting in a total age of seven years. The Oloroso cask itself was used in the sherry industry for 55 years prior to being filled with Paul John spirit. This expression is non chill-filtered and yielded only 252 bottles.
