Description

A limited edition bottling from Pittyvaich distillery, released as part of the 2019 Special Releases from Diageo. Matured for 29 years, it underwent a double maturation in Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry-seasoned casks and was bottled in 2019 at a natural cask strength of 51.4% abv. Pittyvaich was a 'ghost' distillery, active from 1975 to 1993 and demolished in 2002, making its single malts rarely seen. This release is part of the 'Rare by Nature' theme of the 2019 Special Releases.

Finish
Long, smooth, and spicy, with woody notes, ginger, baked apple, and a lingering warmth, hints of tea tannins and orange peel.
