Description

Poit Dhubh 21 Year Old is a robust, complex and full flavoured blended malt, with rich peat overtones. This non-chilfiltered malt imparts aromas of vanilla, oak and peat, and has a very long, warm, soft and spicy finish. It is produced by Pràban na Linne Ltd, based on the Isle of Skye.

Nose
Soft enticing suggestions of vanilla, oak and peat. Robust yet well rounded. Sweet with floral honey, candied fruits, spiced oranges and caramel sauce.
Palate
Complex and full-flavoured, with rich peat and smoke overtones balanced by a sweet sherry wood smoothness. Exotic fruits and vanilla notes, subtle hints of dried fruits and oranges. Smooth and sweet, with zante currants.
Finish
Long, warm, soft and gently spicy. Mild hints of peaty smoke, very little burn. Lingering light peat smoke and burnt marmalade.
