- Nose
- Medium-bodied with soft smokiness, a touch of liquorice and a slight hint of citrus. Dandelion, honey, sweet oats, brine, sea air and some sherry. Earthy peat, dried tropical fruit, wax crayon and wax jacket with ginger, lemon grass and pencil shavings. Rich and delicate nose. Dried fruit and toffee with a slightly cherry seasoned Speyside character.
- Palate
- Smooth with a touch of dryness. A good balance of peatiness and sweetness. Pears, honey, salted caramel, spiced red fruits, orange marmalade, and a burst of lemons and lemon seeds. Savoury, burnt lightly smoked bacon, peaty vegetal notes with nuts and a faint hint of iodine. A rich, complex, and smooth taste. Slightly toffied honey note with a bit of fresh fruit like apple.
- Finish
- Long, smooth and smoky. Wood smoke, sandalwood, rosewood, oranges and black pepper. Long smoky, earthy peaty finish with lingering spice. Elegant long-lasting aftertaste. Slightly edgy and tannic gingery lemon juice.
