Nose
Drier and smokier with medicinal notes, soot, maritime smoke, hints of figs, chocolate, and peppery notes. There are also hints of red grapes, earthy wine, leather, pipe tobacco, prunes, and candied cherries, with a touch of flamed orange peel, petrichor, mineral flint, and floral honey.
Palate
Drier and peppery with peat smoke, ashes, leathery notes, herbs, medicinal notes, and blackberry sweetness. It is rich and sweet, with merlot-like characteristics and cherry wood smoke. Toasty peat and peppercorn are balanced by chocolate-coated honeycomb and toffee-coated peanuts.
Finish
Long and smoky, with chilli pepper and red berries. It is drier, with notes of Cabernet's green pepper, and a sweet-shop deliciousness that continues on the long finish.
