- Nose
- Well integrated smoke, soft, creamy, slightly ashy, slightly vegetal. Classic Port Charlotte distillate character, yoghurty, slightly sour, but mellow and balanced. Notes of honeycomb, milk chocolate, marzipan, cinnamon, freshly fried doughnuts dusted with brown sugar, dried apricot and pineapple. Predominantly creamy peat smoke and toffee with a light tinge of ginger spice.
- Palate
- Lots of honeycomb, toffee bon bons, milky chocolate, a little brown sugar, ashy, earthy peat smoke and vanilla whipped cream. Fairly syrupy, nicely textured, with candied lime peel and a hint of toasted coconut. A warm gingery spice kick balanced by sweetness.
- Finish
- Long, with lingering caramel sweetness, brown sugar, whipped vanilla cream and hints of honeycomb.
