- Nose
- Intense rich, smoked and sherried nuttiness. Pecan pie, dry leaves, raspberry, lemon curd, eucalyptus, algae. Immediate brown sugar, nutty, dry aspects. Some vegetal, some buttery, some tartness, some funk. More grass with water. Smoked red fruits with a touch of bicycle tyre, farmyard and camphor.
- Palate
- Cream cheese, raspberry cream, fresh pecans, entering a bakery in Autumn, popcorn, grilled pineapple. Rich and oily mouthfeel. Very sweet but multi-layered. Oranges, apples, pears, tons of honey, toffee, cocoa, salted caramel, brine, grass. Big and ballsy. Smouldering wood fire, charred logs, ashy embers, melted rubber, engine oil, coal dust.
- Finish
- Long, sweet, salty and smoked. Red fruits, chocolate, salted caramel and pervasive mineral smoke. Herbal, yeast aspects. Nutty, sweet, and a cavalcade of meat with water. Smoked and candied lemons, peppered and salted honey.
