Description

A former distilling giant located within the city of Glasgow and at one point the largest distillery in Scotland. Built in 1811, it was one of the grain distilleries that founded the Distillers Company and over the years was a key component in blends such as White Horse and Johnnie Walker.

Nose
Melon balls, icing sugar, rum & raisin ice-cream, anise. Sweet nose on marzipan, honey, sultanas and candied peach. Some coconut. A little floral. Potpourri. Crème brûlée.
Palate
Sweet fruits at first before more rum notes and rich spices. Peaches, cream, mouthcoating vanillas and impeccable American oak combine with a sustained freshness. Sweet on purple wine gums and banana sweets, coconut and cinnamon. Guimauve, vanilla and white chocolate.
Finish
Long sweet finish with lots of vanilla and icing sugar. Bounty bar and vanilla wafer melt into the aftertaste. Surprisingly long, spicy warm and sweet at the same time. Coconut emerges.
