- Nose
- Intense and haughty, with oils, fresh bay leaf, and an austere, flinty smokiness. Soft peat rises with tangy sea salt and green grape aromas. Sweeter and rubbery notes of tyres, tar, and pepper, with fruity hints of apple, green pear, and green plum. Vegetal notes of wet fern and moss, and a mineral quality of wet chalk.
- Palate
- Dry and austere initially, coating the mouth with lingering smoke. Bold yet not overpowering, with clean menthol and peaty iodine. Crispier and fruitier, with more tar, rubber, and pepper. Some sweetness from the alcohol, growing more powerful and drier.
- Finish
- Long and dry with some oiliness. Infinite, like the Islay shoreline, with sweet vanilla, smoke, and menthol. Very austere, with strong pepper and a vanishing sweetness, leaving a mixture of smoke, pepper, and lemon zest.
